a Script Kiddie has hacked the outlands site. I am in the process of repairing it but it will take a bit of time. Untill then the site will be down.


I was able to fix the problem it was a total script kiddie hack using an automated attack.

in outlands housing is varied by gatetown...

For example in Glorium which is a do it yourself place you must collect the wood to build a house yourself and pay a craftsman (DM) with the wood and gold to have it built. there are only a few templates that they will make though.

Apparently there has been an accident in my area and a backhoe has cut the telco lines. Outlands will be back as sson as they restore the telco connection.

Weeks CD arrived today.

I am back up the hardware is working fine and the connection is good. Last bit is that my CD 3 is scratched and I have to reinstall but no install till I can find a replacement CD... Which no one sells in my area I have on e ordered from Amazon and am waiting for its arrival now.

Ok there was a heat problem with a cable its been replaced and everything seems to be good now.

The server will be a bit laggy for a while as the DNS etc all gets sorted out.it is also sharing a DSL line with several hosed sites and a mail server till I can get a second DSL line in dedicated for it.

finalization of the Avlis portal will take 1-2 days (knock on wood)

Actually the ISP is wonderful its the telco that is giving me grief... they won't let me use my cisco router and the wastel they shipped me was DOA so they are shipping me a new one. I hate verizon.

I have checked the server and everything is fine I a simply waiting for the Modem to arrive to go live the IP/DNS has been updated and the rest of the services are good to go. The modem was supposed to arrive today the 13th of October, I have assurances that I will have it on the 14th.
