Bad idea, sa you take away players right of self-determination as to what feats and skills their characters get, as well you remove the ability of people to get epic bonus feats once their chars hit 20 lvl'sina single class. Actually, you will make the powerdifference between new and old characters...

everyone's level 20?
I had this strange idea for a server. To balance out the difference between new characters and old characters, fill out the levels remaining between the character's level and 20 with a really weak class (wizard BAB, all poor saves, d6 hp, no feats or skill points awarded... we'll call this class &qu...

Personally, I would prefer this because 3.5 Psionics are the most balance form out there, but it would require a lot of work. Ditto! It seems a bit odd that one would try to implement 2E psionics in a 3E computer game (Neverwinter Nights). So before anyone starts to volunteer to make a 3.5 Edition ...

Things have discussed very recently, internally. The CoPaP is not dead... and our current concern is the opposite of what our previous problem was. Before, we were concerned over the lack of links. Now we're wondering just how many link plots can be run at once. ;) Also, if you haven't noticed, I'v...

I've been trying to get into a discussion about this issue for a while now, so this looks like a good opportunity. When I started this organization, I knew it would be hard. I knew it would be tough to get standardized systems, mainly, and to standardize the roleplay and culture a bit. Turns out th...

I've always felt that if you try to pressure or force people into doing things, then one day they quit doing things. In an all-volunteer operation, it has to stay fun. The less fun it is, the lower the retention rate. That is why I make a horrible volunteer - very few things stay fun for me in the l...

Okay, I can understand people fearing the new stuff as overpowered. But seriously, psionics has been around for ages. Some of our player base is younger than the original rules. People are screaming that we ask for something and we get it, which is also not true. There are a dozen powers that I wou...

Psionics are a core part of Planescape, so PPsionics being available on most of the worlds is a good possibility. It's just gonna take time, and depends on who runs the world. Don't hold your breath since the vast majority of players seem to absolutely hate psionics and think they are overpowered. ...

That is in fact quite simple to do. I once did a prototype of a DB powered trantitioning system. I could iron it out (after digging it out again). Certainly that system shouldn't be used globally but only for certain transitions. New transitions could also be set on the fly with a dm wand whilst in...

That they need a starting class is only a excuse to take monk, why does no psion/monk ever use shilds or armor if it is only for rp reason ? Psions dont get wisdom to ac and atacks evry 3 baste atack step so there is no reason why they would do it. a level 18 unbuffed psion with common +2 items Com...

As far as the ones saying that Psions should be charisma based... Look them up in the expanded Psionics handbook... they aren't charisma based in the slightest bit... hell, one of the best races to play as a pure psion is an Elan... and they take a NEGATIVE to Charisma. Force of Will = Will Save = ...

I think psions are pretty balanced as they stand. Perfect? No, but there's no such thing as perfect balance. Any kind of spell-pointish system where you can use the same power over and over is always going to have an issue. Or five. I do think that psionics should have been Charisma-based instead of...

I suppose I should add that I think shapechange for psions would be fine if it were round per level. Go ahead and drop the psp price by 50% (or perhams even more) if you like. A round/level duration prevents the psion from spending his whole post level 16 career in a shapechanged form. This would ma...

Sorry to burst the uber mega slaad bubble here, but the hard code for NWN caps buffs at +12 of base. Unless this power is seriously tweaked and changes the base stats in the 2da file, they would still cap at +12 to their attributes. Anyone that takes 2 levels of monk is going to play a gimped versi...

What does Transform do? Is it like Shapechange, where you take the form for hours, or is it a couple of rounds, and you have to be a 15th level psion, and it costs 60+ PSP and you can't use any other psionics at the same time? Or is it more like Tenser's where you get the fighter AB for the duratio...
