 Catara Forums going offline
just the forums, not the server!

These forums as well as the basic Catara website will go offline within december. The reason, sadly, is the new legislature going in effect next year in germany aimed at protecting the youth. These basically require every website to adhere to the same standards as german TV. Either I ensure that anything that isn't suitable for 12 year olds is only avaible after certain hours in germany or I implement some solution to ensure that no kids will be able to access the content here.

Hoping that this content isn't deemed unsuitable for kids isn't an option, as that would put me into too harsh legal risks. So, sorry for the inconvenience, but that's how it is.

Also, as long as Catara is connected to me, german law and troubles apply, so offerings of hosting the forums out-of-country are appreciated, but, alas, not helping. Sad

seeya,
JollyOrc
