The Confederation of Planes & Planets would like to use lines 100,000 to 104,999, please.

We've got our custom tlk running just fine right now with lines 100,000 to about 102,000 filled in.

The master list
1 - 9,999 -- Individual Modules (use as you want)
10,000 - 19,999 -- CoDI
20,000 - 29,999 -- DLA
30,000 - 39,999 -- CEP
40,000 - 40,999 -- ShadowHawk Projects
41,000 - 44,999 -- CEP
45,000 - 54,999 -- PrCC
55,000 - 55,999 -- Silver Marches
56,000 - 59,999 -- Epic Spellcasting/ICS
60,000 - 60,999 -- BleedingEdge SpellPak
61,000 - 70,999 -- Dremolaria
71,000 - 85,999 -- Available or Unknown
86,000 - 87,999 -- VaƩi Custom Respawn Panel
88,000 - 97,999 -- Spellmans Project
98,000 - 99,999 -- Available or Unknown
100,000 - 104,999 -- Confederation of Planes & Planets
105,000 - 127,999 -- Available or Unknown
128,000 - 128,999 -- Toro Voicesets
129,000 - 139,999 -- Available or Unknown
140,000 - 144,999 -- Issig Homeworld Team
145,000 -> Available or Unknown
it makes sense to do the same thing here that the folks on that fourm are doing which is list out the areas used in our range. So no one steps on anyone elses feet.

Added an area for future content, and Magic Modifications.
100,000-100,226 Current content
100,227-100,999 Future content
101,000-102,299 OPEN and Avalible
102,300-103,000 Pallet additions
103,001-104,999 Magic modifications
This will probably mean nothing to anyone but Themi, Orl and myself in reality (:

could we have a range for Magic modifications
(maybe the open range 103,001-104,999)

Corrected spell descriptions
Modified spell descriptions
Name changes (Idea for spell name's)
Added sub spell names (e.g. adding color choice to Faerie Fire)
New spells (Names and descriptions)

I would like to track all the changes on the devwiki starting with links from this page using the history of the wiki in the same manner we are tracking changes from the spells.2da page from this link here

A WL about to sound stupid. What exactly does the .tlk file do anyways?

Well, I believe the intent of the design is to ease localization.

Instead of having to make new 2da files for each language, BioWare made the lines in the 2da files refer to lines in the TLK file for their text that you see in game. This means that you only need to translate the TLK, and not a ton of 2das.

So, in short, the TLK file contains almost all of the plain text you see in the game. When something shows text from something else that it's not supposed to, then it's a TLK file error.

Teleri, since I need to do a TLK update this coming patch, can I get this master list of who is using what range?

Themi,

The first post here on this thread is up to date.

Do you want the whole TLK table range for all the custom TLK tables? I have that someplace as well.

Added the whole shebang... to the original post.

Why are the current Psionics entries in the range 24-433? (I am just checking my understanding of the chart and the indexes in the spells.2da file)

In the current valid copy of the CoPaP TLK, the Psionics entries run from 200 to 433. This is the range that the original author put them in when he created the Psionics hak.

If they are different in the original author's current release, it is because we have not updated to that release due to the heavy modifications we made when implimenting it in the CoPaP.

To move these entries would require finding every reference to these entries in every 2da file and updating those as well as moving the TLK entries to a new range.

Anything else?
