Dreamhost is having issues due to a repair they did last night, current status on their website is

Update: 5:50am (PST) While overall network connectivity has been restored, there’s a single rack of servers that is still experiencing an outage following the network maintenance. We currently have our network engineer and admins working on restoring service, but there’s a variety of machine types in this rack, from MySQLs to VPS servers. We appreciate your patience and sincerely apologize for the downtime you’ve experienced.

The sites I host, including this one, are on Dreamhost. Looks like we got lucky.

Site down again while dreamhost works on things

Shared server “angel” down for file system check.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this downtime is causing, as the ‘angel’ shared hosting server was rebooted and now requires a file-system integrity check to protect the data on the server.

Update – 5:26pm (PST): The file system check is going to take approximately 3 more hours to complete. We’ll update this post once we have more information. – Oscar

Update – 7:38pm (PST): The file system check is still chugging along. Currently, it’s at 56%. – Jason

I suggest you request a server move. Your site seems to go down more often than the three I host through Dreamhost. Last time I had trouble, they suggested if it continues that I request a server move myself.

The website is unavailable again. I remember a few days ago there was a post about a change but thought I would check anyway as it has been down for a few days now.

fixed, seems they changed the db host to a domain out of scope..so security broke.
