For Import into All CoPaP Worlds

This is a thread that you should check often. Whenever the code for a system is changed, and that code needs to be put on all CoPaP worlds, post the change here.

Keep in mind that this is an optional thing. You are not being ordered to put code onto your world, and will not be required to do anything past staying compliant with the articles.

However, if you wish to stay current and bug-free, it is recommended. Also, if you are not as well versed in scripting as some of our better coders, it is best that you rely on them and import what they ask, but only if they are credible in your eyes.


Posts should follow format:

System: (system name, i.e. death, treasure, trash, etc.)

Date:

Erf Name:

Location of Erf: (give an ftp site if possible)

Instructions:

Give EXPLICIT instructions on which files to overwrite, Be as specific as you can.


Also remember to strip your Erf of as many extra files as you can, so the person does not have to exclude 500 files in order to import the one they want.

System: Crafting, Universal Hides

Date: Jan 13, 2005/ ver. 2.1 Jan 26/ ver. 2.2 Jan 29

Erf name: DataTransfer_v22.erf

Location: Avlis Systems dir on avlis ftp

Instructions:
Includes 4 scripts and 1 item (PC HIDE)

The scripts are:
portal_nwnx_inc, modified it to pass the data from the DB onto the hide. Stores also PC's server origin.
cskin_include, modified it to not remove hides of the abyss prefix, nor the new PC HIDE (resref: no_pc_hide).
data_trans_inc, "include" file with the data transfer system functions. Read comments for more info.
avlis_onenter, modified it to read data from the hide to the DB.If you use another ClientOnEnter script, modify it accordingly.

Important:Compile all scripts after the import!

kill_o_mat_misc.ncs
data_trans_inc.ncs

Where would I find them?

Those are include files, which do not have ncs versions, only nss versions. They don't exist anywhere. It's just a quirk of the toolset to ask for things like that.
