Banning

One thing about Banning. If you get Banned on ysguard or hala you can kiss the Copap experiance goodby:( because the Infinite stair case the area that is used to move from one server to another is housed in ysguard. As well if you upset a friend of a dm that plays in avlis they may even have you banned on hala.
It would be good if there were more independent links to other worlds that did not have to rely on ysguard to act as a cross road.

The trick is not to break any rules on servers and to not be banned.

Sorry, Jungle, I'd have to agree with Drakuul here.

The Infinite Staircase is *not* the only way to get around CoPaP.

true, yes getting banned from Hala can hurt you in the long run, but you know what, I'll have to agree that not getting banned is the best thing.

If you get banned then there's something wrong with you. :P

As Themi stated that is not the only way to move around the worlds but without Yasgard life does become much more difficult to move to all of them.

I do have to agree that the best thing is to stick to the rules and avoid the banning completely. However just because you are banned on one world does not mean you are instantly banned on any other. I know of several players who are banned on one world and not any of the others in CoPaP.

I was going to ignore this thread but decided not to :D

I will agree that getting banned on Hala can greatly reduce your ability to move around in CoPaP.

This is one of the major reasons why it is also very difficult to get banned on Ysgard. I give people more chances on Ysgard/Hala than I've seen just about any other world give a person because of that reason. Many times to the complaints of others on my own team.

Basically... to get yourself banned on Hala/Ysgard you pretty much have to

1) Violate a Major Rule of CoPaP

2) Be a real PITA that has been warned several times

3) Be a repeat offender of minor rules.

Hala has not ever banned anyone because they "Pissed off a friend of a DM on Hala" and we never will. Pretty much all bans have to be approved by me first, and personally.. I hate banning people.

And I've not seen anyone banned because they've "upset a friend of a DM". Every one of Avlis' bans have had long, long (several hundred watchlist posts) discussions. Bans are for valid reasons.

Just don't do the crime. Easy as that.

Couple of things that I feel are worth a mention.

All of the CoPaP worlds share information about problem players.
Avlis will ban someone who is banned by other CoPaP worlds for certain offenses, such as cheating, OOC harassment of players etc.
Some of the other worlds will do the same.

Best bet is dont break the rules, dont give people a hard time and have fun.
