Standard Scripts recompile

Something I wasnt aware of and I though I should post it here. Taken from bioware boards: http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=388007&forum=47&sp=105 I'm obviously not a dev, but in case you're looking for confirmation, I'll provide it: If you edit an include file (standard or ...

Corbett is correct. Crafting Placeables should have a specific prefix in order to work. Perhaps you can find prototypes of those placeables in the palette, even though I havent personally checked the zero mod.

The most sufficient way I can think of is to use the SignalEvent command Example: object oNPC; event eSpecialEvent; eSpecialEvent = EventUserDefined(1234); SignalEvent(oNPC,eSpecialEvent); In other words, you can have one script (In the User Defined event) with many different numbered events, that c...

Thank you again Teleri...... Your a great help... What about the NW_IT_GOLD001 error?? Have you seen that? I am curious... nw_it_gold001 is the resref of the gold in nwn and nw_o2_coninclude is the script that generates the log entries concerning drops. Unless you speak of something else ..heh :)

Enforce Legal Characters: YES Item Level Restrictions: YES The first should be turned off when you use autobic and custom ecl. The second should be turned off too, if you use the custom ILR checker. About the treasure log results, it seems to me that somewhere in teh mod there might be a faction pr...

What I'm saying is that x2_inc_spellhook script allows you to have a User defined spell hook script in order to override existing spells, instead of modifying the spells directly. That will help a lot in case bioware decides to change their spells in the near future. You can find more about spellhoo...

ELC errors? (HELP)

In Avlis' custom ELC checker (DB Watcher java program) we get the following suspicious messages from time to time: This is produced by all Wemics: Opening Character file: SinbadSam\BraggiTwoStrik.bic (...) ERROR: Field does not exist [LvlStatAbility] PASS While this happens to few characters (the sa...

What should be clarified here is that Avlis is not using the same code anymore. We use a system based on 3rd ed. rules made by Aloro, which was under testing back then in February. Since my name is mentioned here, I did "showed" Chass the code during a discussion, in order to help him find...

Encounter Lag Issues Even those with the most powerful PCs will notice the tell-tale judder or 'lag' that signifies the activation of an encounter trigger. The severity of this can range from a slight hiccup to a lengthy spate of shuddering - apart from the obvious irritation of the delay, it's eve...

Tips on Building Encounters

OnExhausted event An encounter has five event handlers that will fire a script - four of which are standard ('OnEnter', 'OnExit', 'OnHeartbeat' and 'OnUserDefined'), and one which is unique to encounters ('OnExhausted'). An 'OnExhausted' event is fired when the last creature spawned by the encounte...
