The wiki has moved and we have a new thread on spellhooking in the Avlis forums. I've edited my first post to contain this new information. I lefet the link to the old thread in as well. Also, I have decided (for the time being) not to retroactively add a witch to turn additional visual effects on/o...

I suggest you look on http://www.nwvault.com for 'trainers'. You should be able to find something. If you want to re-level a character, you must set his XP to the level you want him to revert to. The scripting command for this is SetXP(). I should warn you though that re-rolling characters can cause...

Now, do you know where I can get the SQL lines to add the Crafting recipes to the crafting tables? You need to PM Orl and he will email them to you. For obvious reasons we don't have these stored anywhere even semi-publicly. Also, check out the post I just made about the Wiki. We're doing our best ...

Instructions for Installing CoPaP Systems (Wiki)
http://www.avlis.org/devwiki/index.php/Main_Page At the link above you will find the Wiki site where the Avlis Team has been documenting the installation and use of the various CoPaP systems. I linked this site when I poseted the spellhooking update, but I think it's important for people to know tha...

That code is dougnoel's area. PM him for access to it. I believe it's already part of the spellhooking code, but I could be wrong. The spellhooking code is already in the copap ftp site. What he said. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Basically, you implement the code and creat...

How are you getting elemetnal sub to work and multi meta on spells? I've replaced the metamagic checks with unary checks that allow multiple metamagic feats to be stored in one integer. Then instead of an if-else statement, the statements are successive if statements. The elemental substitution req...

Dont suppose you have a version of this with only options one and two active :) There are On/Off switches for all of these features, so yes. :) The switches can be found in avlis_spellhook, copap_magic_inc, copap_splchk_inc and x2_pc_umdcheck. You can also just delete x2_pc_umdcheck and that will r...

Board Styles Working!
I use subsilver, and when I logged in yesterday, it wasn't working. Anyone else having this issue? The default board style is neat, but makes it difficult for me to look at for any large amount of time.

In online games, more is not better. In fact, it has been proven over and over again that putting quantity over quality will cause you to lose potential players. Think about it: If you were to try a new world and there were only 10 areas, but they were well fleshed out and interesting, you would be ...

A PnP game with a fear aura requires a save every round same as in NWN so the odds of failure are the same. Actually, dragon and mummy fear auras a 1/day in PnP. Same with a ghost's horrific appearance. NWN's implementation is sheer laziness. Basically, the aura goes off every round and everyone ha...
