Those aren't the same race as Avlissian ghost elves in the copap hak. The ones in our subrace system are very specifically an Avlis subrace.

Autobic's Enforce Legal Character will break if you set the base race to one thing, then apply the racial modifications to another.

Also, given that Ghost Elves are an Avlis creation, how are they not Avlis exclusive?

Well if you wanna go with dropping powerchecks, psionic powers would have to be done through a progression table per PnP if you wanna go with 3rd Ed rules, so that the strength of your known powers goes up with psi levels. (thus, no more 1-2 level psions with D-Door, which come to think of it, would...

Portal Fixed(for now) and a Note(Please read)

After a bit of jujitsu and voodoo the portal to Avlis works again.

I do however ask that NO ONE touch the Glantri portal or try to come in from Glantri as that will crash the server.

Thanks.

. It might behoove the team to simply ask the world to consider NOT giving their gear away when they retire, especially the gear in question. I think the majority of our players would consider it. If even a portion of the gear doesnt get handed down its an improvement. There's actually a very simpl...

Hala Website Back Up.

After quite a bit of gnashing of teeth, and digging up old copies of forum themes the website is back up at:
www.ysgardhala.org

The forums are a bit old and I'm going to have to do a bit of work on some of the smaller details, but for now they're up and postable.

Hala (On next restart) Removed Soul's persistent faction system as it was being a pain in the ass. Updated spell scripts to Avlis Spellhooking 1.6.0.1 standards. Disabled share spell for the time being. Updates to various merchants who were doing funky things. Added mage duelling ground to Nagritch...

Have we figured out how the PRC implementation will clash with our custom races system?

Specifically the PRC PrCs use creature hides for certain features, do they not?

or has that changed with the recent patches?

Is there a list of spells already hooked to be added to the "delete these scripts" list?

And is deleting the scripts still necessary?

Well, they already are, I think...

Having better healing spells does give them an alternative role in a party, IMO.

I think though, that if the changes go in, it should apply to all CAST healing spells, but not to potions and wands and scrolls and what not.

But they aren't better. I think the perception's getting a bit skewed here. It's not as if having a healing kit is going to make a level 10 character with a few nominal skill points in the skill do a whole lot better in healing than a level 10 cleric. 3d8 + 10 is usually going to heal just as much i...

I think you're seriously overstating the influence of epic areas. There are maybe half a dozen scattered throughout the 8 or so linked servers. I'm pretty sure that throughout the highest CR you're going to see is going to be only 24-26 and those are for once/reset spawns. The regular "epic&quo...

Wow, that's pretty damn good.

Question, just how configurable are the objects?

For example do they all come as one package, or do they come in various combinatinos so you can just have a sword worn on the hip or something like that?

Can't wait to see what you'll be working on next.

A 10th level fighter can take a cannon ball in the chest and be FINE. At least in 3rd edition, though the chances are very remote, that canon ball can roll a triple critical and take him out. I thought that whole "keep rolling critical dice" thing was just a fixture on fire-arms that was ...

I have two primary objections to auto-fail. First: The number of saves you're expected to make in NWN is exponentially higher than in any pen and paper situation where the house rules give an auto-fail on 1. Rather than the one or two per encounter you're expected to roll, any nasty encounter will i...

Wouldn't a primary problem with this be the fact that the PrC Consortium Pack uses the creature skins part to add feats?(At least this is what seemed to be the case when I was playing around with it and certain PrC's like the Tempest offline.) That sounds like it'd clash pretty openly with our custo...

The biggest problem I see is with the current custom content being overwritten. There already was a huge number of problems with character heads when HotU began to get circulated, and it'd honestly be a bit strange(not to mention unfair) for something like 90% of the custom models to suddenly be swi...

Just a thought, you might want to obscure the bottoms more through fog and cover that area with an effect that reacts more like the blurred fog(therefore blends into the background) rather than trying to have a landscape between the mountains and the ground.

Very nice start though.
