The new server at nwn.hala-world.org:5121 is now up and the old server is down. There will also be a website at http://www.hala-world.org sometime soon.

Hala Server Relocation
At 10pm GMT on Thursday, March 4th there will be a temporary down time while the Hala server is relocated. Once the server comes back up, you will have to connect to it through nwn.hala-world.org. I don't expect this to take more than an hour or so but it might so I'll make another announcement here...

The problem with the book is that it can be dropped by the PC. This isn't a bad thing as we should only need to record and strip the data during the link but it would require that everyone record and send this data during the link. If someone doesn't want to participate in this, and the player drops...

What I'm trying to say is, if a player does already have a hide equipped, why can't we use it to store variables on anyways. Whether the hide is labelled anything specific or not, you can still find it with the equipped in slot command and can still get the variables off of it. If you do want to pas...

Check if there's a creature hide and if there isn't one on the player, add a generic one. If there already is a hide, just store the variables on it anyways. Hala runs on a Pentium 4 1.1 GHz machine. It's more than just enough to run a server but the limiting factor is mostly ram, I only have 3-something hundred in it right now.
