Well, that's convenient enough. The erf, which is complete save for that little detail, is an area destined for Layer 404 anyway... so I'll let him fix it :P

Item properties...

Okay, a couple of things have been bothering me since I started really diving in to the toolset... The most troublesome right now is the inability to alter the base properties for a custom item. I have a need to create a weapon that uses the double-axe model that will be wielded by a small creature....

I thought about taking the character's race and other stuff in to account but the purpose isn't to kill anyone... It's only like a 10 foot drop (1 level according to raise/lower terrain), so it shouldn't be enough to kill. It should be enough to make folks wary of wandering around with 1000 pounds o...

I'm Bob, from account... wait, that's not right. I'm James, formally known pretty much everywhere I travel as Teibidh. I've been playing PnP games for ... well, we'll say it's been at least 2 decades, and I'll leave it at that. I've played pretty much everything out there, if I haven't played a part...

Inline math operations?

For a script I'm writing I need to apply a damage effect equal to the character's weight divided by 10... The problem I run in to is the division component. In pretty much every syntax I've ever worked at least one of these two variants should work: EffectDamage(GetWeight(oVictim)/10,DAMAGE_TYPE_BLU...

I believe all the scripts in a conversation belong to the owner of the conversation, thus, the NPC, so you'd have to target GetLastSpeaker() with anything you wanna do to the PC.

I'm a smart ass.

It's fine, actually, but you can't put up an option labeled for smart asses and expect the smart asses not to use it.

Bwah, first question...

Okay, when you create a new area in a module it automatically derives the resref from the name you enter in the new area wizard (forget the fact that I hate wizards, you apparently have to use it... the bastards.). In and of itself this wouldn't bother me any, just enter what you want the resref to ...

I think there should be a consolidated LISTING of the the required paks, yes, but not necessarily a consolidated set of links.

Building/Scripting forum?

Since the Bioware forums actually suck pretty hard and we're gonna have a really high concentration of builders and scripters hanging out here, could we maybe have a building/scripting forum so us newbie builders have a place we can ask questions that we know will be being answered by reliable folks...
