It's a toss up between Planescape, Darksun, and Kara-tur. I also liked Al-Qadim a lot. The bonuses of each are really bonuses. Kara-tur had monks, samurai, and ninja's. Darksun had psions and mages weren't well liked. And Planescape had everything, and then some. I like Al-Qadim fire mages, the way ...

Personally I think this is a bad bad idea. Certainly for real performing bards on a world like Avlis which doesn't have the Harpers and RDD PrC. Which I don't blame them. But with this you give every class the only identity bards has. Their Perform skill. I stand for RPing and for Bards and say Nay...

You would get Demensional Slide (which is the equivalent of Dimension Door) at sixth level, maybe. If you took the right one of the six different psi classes. Which would mean that you should take all the existing psi characters and give them the option of either making the change, locking the class...

Psionics dispellable = bad idea. Mage casts greater dispel while fully buffed. All the psion's buffs go away, he has no retaliation. Unless you put in apapsi and catapsi (psi versions of dispel) and make them comparable to Greater dispel (since there is only one) and make them effect magic as well, ...

Reason no one has done this is because they all have to be coded as spells. Coding one new spell is a pain in the ass. Coding several dozen of them is a nightmare. That and the 3.5 system couldn't use existing spell scripts, since they all work differently than normal spells. That was why they went ...

Actually, 3.5 is the most lopsided form of psionics I have seen. But if you want to do it, by all means. That would make my monk 3 times as powerful, at least, since most of the stuff in there is very combat specific (Duo-dimensional Hand and several others are just made for monks). Personally, I th...

Okay, I can understand people fearing the new stuff as overpowered. But seriously, psionics has been around for ages. Some of our player base is younger than the original rules. People are screaming that we ask for something and we get it, which is also not true. There are a dozen powers that I woul...

Psionics are a core part of Planescape, so PPsionics being available on most of the worlds is a good possibility. It's just gonna take time, and depends on who runs the world. Don't hold your breath since the vast majority of players seem to absolutely hate psionics and think they are overpowered. ...

Actually, none of those are third edition. All of them have been tweaked one way or another to make them playable. Mages don't cast Bull's Strength for hours in PnP. Clerics don't have spells that stun all non-allies in an area of effect. Rogues don't get four sneak attacks in a round. The only one ...

You are on the wrong version of psionics. We are using Mr. Nathan's version of the Dark Sun system and the Complete Psionicist's handbook from the second edition. It was agreed that the feat system was easier to impliment than the spell system. In the 2nd edition system, psions also got psi attack p...

You know, I keep coming up with better builds than that, lots of them, most of them non-monk/non-psion builds (fighter/rogues, druid/rogues, wizards (no second class needed), clerics (again, no second class needed), etc). Don't want to argue any more. If you really think they are that unbalanced, tr...

Just one of the issues I currently have with the class... There is no way for a NPC or creature not under DM control to use Psi Powers effectivly, thus leaving a Psi using his/her powers effectivly unmatched. Odd, I would think that the mind flayer script would help. Or did bioware treat that as ma...

i want to see new powers if... there are new feats for fighters barbarians rangers and bards, more songs for bard and spells for all spellcasters... It is because of this that monks and psions got their own forum on Avlis. No matter what, someone finds some reason to think that the characters they ...

Sorry to burst the uber mega slaad bubble here, but the hard code for NWN caps buffs at +12 of base. Unless this power is seriously tweaked and changes the base stats in the 2da file, they would still cap at +12 to their attributes. Anyone that takes 2 levels of monk is going to play a gimped versio...

What does Transform do? Is it like Shapechange, where you take the form for hours, or is it a couple of rounds, and you have to be a 15th level psion, and it costs 60+ PSP and you can't use any other psionics at the same time? Or is it more like Tenser's where you get the fighter AB for the duratio...

Kinarr is the Psionics Grand Master on Avlis, and also for CoPaP. Anything to do with the psionicist class for CoPaP goes through him, so if you want to offer some help, he's the tree to bark up. :) Disclaimer: I have no idea if he's working on implementing these new powers at all, or if they're ou...
