I have a test VM for each OS. Still need to finish the test mod, but the connection info will be:
Host: odin.mercuric.net
Win32: NWN 5121, Vaultster 5100
Linux: NWN 5122, Vaultster 5101

Password 'zeb' for player and DM on both servers. Vaultster credentials are the same as CoPaP uses.

We've found that this is a pretty good solution. I'd be in favor of this (of course, we'd have to figure out what to do with our existing placeholders. C'est la vie.)

As for the passwords, 90% of the time you can hit a DM up on a DM channel or in IRC, explain the situation, and they'll give you the Password you are looking for. Depends on the world. If it's an Avlis DM, they'd be banned for doing that. If it's me, I'll just ask them for any other CoPaP password ...

Ah, I thought this was something of a "reboot" of the server. If you already have players, then yes, not letting them portal works (though nobody really ever likes that solution). If you want to discuss the technical integration aspects, the best way is probably to chat me up on IRC someti...

I don't know how amenable you are to this, but I almost feel like vampires should not be playable. I think this reduces the work required by you and other worlds (significantly), and, to be honest, greatly boosts your chances of being accepted into CoPaP. I think your theme would still work fine wit...

To clarify what Terry said, copaphak has custom PRCs, but no custom tilesets. Rule of thumb: anything that could possibly need to be transferred between worlds on a character (character models, classes, races, item types, skills, spells, feats, etc.) MUST go into copaphak or universalhak. copaphak c...

I think some worlds are considering NWN2; Avlis is definitely working on a NWN2 version, but I don't think they have any plans to link. As far as advice, I can help you out mostly on the technical end, as I've worked extensively on Vaultster, the system we use to transfer .bics for portals (along wi...

1) Worlds can make their own rules regarding how they want to handle applications, and, by extension, giving out passwords. 2) If someone is in game, they should already have at least one password, and if someone has deleted that email but portals to a server, they're SOL for a little while unless t...

Worlds are free to implement certain portions of CEP2 content as they see fit, and other portions can be introduced CoPaP-wide if nobody objects. However, integrating the whole thing would cause issues. The CoPaP and Universal haks are intentionally separated. To be simplistic, 2das go in copaphak, ...

The best workaround at this point is to prevent taking a form that isn't in the copaphak. While I'd love to be standardized, so much in the modules would have to be fixed that it would be completely not worth it.

I know Hala has altered/moved some entries in theirs. Avlis as well has a number of models that are only on their servers, and not in the CoPaP haks, so that would also indicate different numbering in the appearances.2da. okay we cannot be changing entries in there...yes minor things maybe but not ...

The feat Small Stature does not exist in NWN, to my knowledge. I'm not sure what you're thinking of, but if you just mean Small size, they should already have that.

Re: Race Alteration: Kobolds and Goblins

What do you think? Should this be altered? Is it possible to alter this now? With the added skill bonuses, some ECL levels would have to be added. Additionally, since kobold and goblin PCs already exist, there would no doubt be complaints of "Well, I want the NEW version of the race!" The...

@Themicles: Couldn't the TransferCraftingXPtoDB() be changed to stop deleting the hide variable? Maybe that does the trick. You seem to be missing the point: commenting that line and changing TransferCraftingXPtoDB() both require worlds to change something. It works fine IF worlds comment that line...

My IP rarely changes, and it can't do that without a reboot (or at least renewing the IP address). The system hasn't rebooted in 136 days. You can do the math. ;)

Besides that, I'm absolutely certain the IP hasn't changed...
